21:1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
21:2 "Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem, preach against the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel;
21:3 "and say to the land of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord: "Behold, I am against you, and I will draw My sword out of its sheath and cut off both righteous and wicked from you.
21:4 "Because I will cut off both righteous and wicked from you, therefore My sword shall go out of its sheath against all flesh from south to north,
21:5 "that all flesh may know that I, the Lord, have drawn My sword out of its sheath; it shall not return anymore." '
21:6 "Sigh therefore, son of man, with a breaking heart, and sigh with bitterness before their eyes.
21:7 "And it shall be when they say to you, 'Why are you sighing?' that you shall answer, 'Because of the news; when it comes, every heart will melt, all hands will be feeble, every spirit will faint, and all knees will be weak as water. Behold, it is coming and shall be brought to pass,' says the Lord God."
21:8 Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
21:9 "Son of man, prophesy and say, 'Thus says the Lord!' Say:'A sword, a sword is sharpenedAnd also polished!
21:10 Sharpened to make a dreadful slaughter,Polished to flash like lightning!Should we then make mirth?It despises the scepter of My Son,As it does all wood.
21:11 And He has given it to be polished,That it may be handled;This sword is sharpened, and it is polishedTo be given into the hand of the slayer.'
21:12 "Cry and wail, son of man;For it will be against My people,Against all the princes of Israel.Terrors including the sword will be against My people;Therefore strike your thigh.
21:13 "Because it is a testing,And what if the sword despises even the scepter?The scepter shall be no more," says the Lord God.
21:14 "You therefore, son of man, prophesy,And strike your hands together.The third time let the sword do double damage.It is the sword that slays,The sword that slays the great men,That enters their private chambers.
21:15 I have set the point of the sword against all their gates,That the heart may melt and many may stumble.Ah! It is made bright;It is grasped for slaughter:
21:16 "Swords at the ready!Thrust right!Set your blade!Thrust left-Wherever your edge is ordered!
21:17 "I also will beat My fists together,And I will cause My fury to rest;I, the Lord, have spoken."
21:18 The word of the Lord came to me again, saying:
21:19 "And son of man, appoint for yourself two ways for the sword of the king of Babylon to go; both of them shall go from the same land. Make a sign; put it at the head of the road to the city.
21:20 "Appoint a road for the sword to go to Rabbah of the Ammonites, and to Judah, into fortified Jerusalem.
21:21 "For the king of Babylon stands at the parting of the road, at the fork of the two roads, to use divination: he shakes the arrows, he consults the images, he looks at the liver.
21:22 "In his right hand is the divination for Jerusalem: to set up battering rams, to call for a slaughter, to lift the voice with shouting, to set battering rams against the gates, to heap up a siege mound, and to build a wall.
21:23 "And it will be to them like a false divination in the eyes of those who have sworn oaths with them; but he will bring their iniquity to remembrance, that they may be taken.
21:24 "Therefore thus says the Lord God: 'Because you have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are uncovered, so that in all your doings your sins appear-because you have come to remembrance, you shall be taken in hand.
21:25 'Now to you, O profane, wicked prince of Israel, whose day has come, whose iniquity shall end,
21:26 'thus says the Lord God:"Remove the turban, and take off the crown;Nothing shall remain the same.Exalt the humble, and humble the exalted.
21:27 Overthrown, overthrown,I will make it overthrown!It shall be no longer,Until He comes whose right it is,And I will give it to Him." '
21:28 "And you, son of man, prophesy and say, 'Thus says the Lord God concerning the Ammonites and concerning their reproach,' and say:'A sword, a sword is drawn,Polished for slaughter,For consuming, for flashing-
21:29 While they see false visions for you,While they divine a lie to you,To bring you on the necks of the wicked, the slainWhose day has come,Whose iniquity shall end.
21:30 'Return it to its sheath.I will judge youIn the place where you were created,In the land of your nativity.
21:31 I will pour out My indignation on you;I will blow against you with the fire of My wrath,And deliver you into the hands of brutal men who are skillful to destroy.
21:32 You shall be fuel for the fire;Your blood shall be in the midst of the land.You shall not be remembered,For I the Lord have spoken.' "
◆エルサレムに向けられる剣
21:1 主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ。

23:2 saying: "The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat.

23:11 "But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant.
23:12 "And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
23:13 "But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.
23:14 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation.

23:16 "Woe to you, blind guides, who say, 'Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obliged to perform it.'
23:17 "Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold?
23:18 "And, 'Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, he is obliged to perform it.'
23:19 "Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift?
23:20 "Therefore he who swears by the altar, swears by it and by all things on it.
23:21 "He who swears by the temple, swears by it and by Him who dwells in it.
23:22 "And he who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God and by Him who sits on it.
23:23 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.
23:24 "Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!
23:25 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence.
23:26 "Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.
23:27 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness.
23:28 "Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
23:29 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous,
23:30 "and say, 'If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.'
23:31 "Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets.
23:32 "Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers' guilt.
23:33 "Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?
23:34 "Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city,
23:35 "that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.
23:36 "Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.
23:37 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!
23:38 "See! Your house is left to you desolate;
23:39 "for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!' "

23:15 律法学者たちとファリサイ派の人々、あなたたち偽善者は不幸だ。改宗者を一人つくろうとして、海と陸を巡り歩くが、改宗者ができると、自分より倍も悪い地獄の子にしてしまうからだ。

14:13 And Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand still,
and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today.
For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.
14:14 "The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace."
14:15 And the Lord said to Moses, "Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.
14:16 "But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
14:17 "And I indeed will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them. So I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen.
14:18 "Then the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gained honor for Myself over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen."

28:12 "But where can wisdom be found?And where is the place of understanding?

28:15 It cannot be purchased for gold,Nor can silver be weighed for its price.
28:16 It cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir,In precious onyx or sapphire.
28:17 Neither gold nor crystal can equal it,Nor can it be exchanged for jewelry of fine gold.
28:18 No mention shall be made of coral or quartz,For the price of wisdom is above rubies.
28:19 The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it,Nor can it be valued in pure gold.
28:20 "From where then does wisdom come?And where is the place of understanding?
28:21 It is hidden from the eyes of all living,And concealed from the birds of the air.

28:23 God understands its way,And He knows its place.
28:24 For He looks to the ends of the earth,And sees under the whole heavens,

28:27 Then He saw wisdom and declared it;He prepared it, indeed, He searched it out.
28:28 And to man He said,'Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom,And to depart from evil is understanding.' "
◆神の知恵の賛美

28:14 深い淵は言う／「わたしの中にはない。」海も言う／「わたしのところにもない。」
28:15 知恵は純金によっても買えず／銀幾らと価を定めることもできない。
28:16 オフィルの金も美しい縞めのうも／サファイアも、これに並ぶことはできない。
28:17 金も宝玉も知恵に比べられず／純金の器すらこれに値しない。
28:18 さんごや水晶は言うに及ばず／真珠よりも知恵は得がたい。
28:19 クシュのトパーズも比べられず／混じりない金もこれに並ぶことはできない。

13:31 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field,
13:32 "which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches."
13:33 Another parable He spoke to them: "The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened."
13:34 All these things Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables; and without a parable He did not speak to them,
13:35 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying:"I will open My mouth in parables;I will utter things kept secret from the foundation of the world."
13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field."
13:37 He answered and said to them: "He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.
13:38 "The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one.
13:39 "The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.
13:40 "Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age.
13:41 "The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness,
13:42 "and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
13:43 "Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
◆「からし種」と「パン種」のたとえ

◆たとえを用いて語る

13:35 それは、預言者を通して言われていたことが実現するためであった。「わたしは口を開いてたとえを用い、／天地創造の時から隠されていたことを告げる。」
◆「毒麦」のたとえの説明
13:36 それから、イエスは群衆を後に残して家にお入りになった。すると、弟子たちがそばに寄って来て、「畑の毒麦のたとえを説明してください」と言った。
13:37 イエスはお答えになった。「良い種を蒔く者は人の子、
13:38 畑は世界、良い種は御国の子ら、毒麦は悪い者の子らである。
13:39 毒麦を蒔いた敵は悪魔、刈り入れは世の終わりのことで、刈り入れる者は天使たちである。
13:40 だから、毒麦が集められて火で焼かれるように、世の終わりにもそうなるのだ。
13:41 人の子は天使たちを遣わし、つまずきとなるものすべてと不法を行う者どもを自分の国から集めさせ、
13:42 燃え盛る炉の中に投げ込ませるのである。彼らは、そこで泣きわめいて歯ぎしりするだろう。
13:43 そのとき、正しい人々はその父の国で太陽のように輝く。耳のある者は聞きなさい。」
3:1 In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of
Judea,
3:2 and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!"
3:3 For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying:"The voice of one crying in the wilderness:'Prepare the way of the Lord;Make His paths straight.' "
3:4 And John himself was clothed in camel's hair, with a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey.
3:5 Then Jerusalem, all Judea, and all the region around the Jordan went out to him
3:6 and were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.
3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, "Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
3:8 "Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance,
3:9 "and do not think to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
3:10 "And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
3:11 "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
3:12 "His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."
◆洗礼者ヨハネ、教えを宣べる

◆カインとアベル
4:1 さて、アダムは妻エバを知った。彼女は身ごもってカインを産み、「わたしは主によって男子を得た」と言った。
4:2 彼女はまたその弟アベルを産んだ。アベルは羊を飼う者となり、カインは土を耕す者となった。

4:9 主はカインに言われた。「お前の弟アベルは、どこにいるのか。」カインは答えた。「知りません。わたしは弟の番人でしょうか。」
4:10 主は言われた。「何ということをしたのか。お前の弟の血が土の中からわたしに向かって叫んでいる。
4:11 今、お前は呪われる者となった。お前が流した弟の血を、口を開けて飲み込んだ土よりもなお、呪われる。
4:12 土を耕しても、土はもはやお前のために作物を産み出すことはない。お前は地上をさまよい、さすらう者となる。」
4:13 カインは主に言った。「わたしの罪は重すぎて負いきれません。
4:14 今日、あなたがわたしをこの土地から追放なさり、わたしが御顔から隠されて、地上をさまよい、さすらう者となってしまえば、わたしに出会う者はだれであれ、わたしを殺すでしょう。」
4:15 主はカインに言われた。「いや、それゆえカインを殺す者は、だれであれ七倍の復讐を受けるであろう。」主はカインに出会う者がだれも彼を撃つことのないように、カインにしるしを付けられた。
4:16 カインは主の前を去り、エデンの東、ノド（さすらい）の地に住んだ。
4:17 カインは妻を知った。彼女は身ごもってエノクを産んだ。カインは町を建てていたが、その町を息子の名前にちなんでエノクと名付けた。
4:18 エノクにはイラドが生まれた。イラドはメフヤエルの父となり、メフヤエルはメトシャエルの父となり、メトシャエルはレメクの父となった。
4:19 レメクは二人の妻をめとった。一人はアダ、もう一人はツィラといった。

4:6 So the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?
4:7 "If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it."
4:8 Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.
4:9 Then the Lord said to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" He said, "I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?"
4:10 And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground.
4:11 "So now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand.
4:12 "When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its strength to you. A fugitive and a vagabond you shall be on the earth."
4:13 And Cain said to the Lord, "My punishment is greater than I can bear!
4:14 "Surely You have driven me out this day from the face of the ground; I shall be hidden from Your face; I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth, and it will happen that anyone who finds me will kill me."
4:15 And the Lord said to him, "Therefore, whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold." And the Lord set a mark on Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him.
4:16 Then Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden.
4:17 And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. And he built a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son-Enoch.
4:18 To Enoch was born Irad; and Irad begot Mehujael, and Mehujael begot Methushael, and Methushael begot Lamech.
4:19 Then Lamech took for himself two wives: the name of one was Adah, and the name of the second was Zillah.
4:20 And Adah bore Jabal. He was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock.
4:21 His brother's name was Jubal. He was the father of all those who play the harp and flute.
4:22 And as for Zillah, she also bore Tubal-Cain, an instructor of every craftsman in bronze and iron. And the sister of Tubal-Cain was Naamah.
4:23 Then Lamech said to his wives:"Adah and Zillah, hear my voice;Wives of Lamech, listen to my speech!For I have killed a man for wounding me,Even a young man for hurting me.
4:24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold,Then Lamech seventy-sevenfold."
4:25 And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth, "For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed."
4:26 And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh. Then men began to call on the name of the Lord.

2:2 "Everyone of the children of Israel shall camp by his own standard, beside the emblems of his father's house; they shall camp some distance from the tabernacle of meeting.
2:3 "On the east side, toward the rising of the sun, those of the standard of the forces with Judah shall camp according to their armies; and Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be the leader of the children of Judah."
2:4 And his army was numbered at seventy-four thousand six hundred.
2:5 "Those who camp next to him shall be the tribe of Issachar, and Nethanel the son of Zuar shall be the leader of the children of Issachar."
2:6 And his army was numbered at fifty-four thousand four hundred.
2:7 "Then comes the tribe of Zebulun, and Eliab the son of Helon shall be the leader of the children of Zebulun."
2:8 And his army was numbered at fifty-seven thousand four hundred.
2:9 "All who were numbered according to their armies of the forces with Judah, one hundred and eighty-six thousand four hundred-these shall break camp first.

2:17 "And the tabernacle of meeting shall move out with the camp of the Levites in the middle of the camps; as they camp, so they shall move out, everyone in his place, by their standards.
2:18 "On the west side shall be the standard of the forces with Ephraim according to their armies, and the leader of the children of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud."
2:19 And his army was numbered at forty thousand five hundred.
2:20 "Next to him comes the tribe of Manasseh, and the leader of the children of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur."
2:21 And his army was numbered at thirty-two thousand two hundred.
2:22 "Then comes the tribe of Benjamin, and the leader of the children of Benjamin shall be Abidan the son of Gideoni."
2:23 And his army was numbered at thirty-five thousand four hundred.
2:24 "All who were numbered according to their armies of the forces with Ephraim, one hundred and eight thousand one hundred-they shall be the third to break camp.
2:25 "The standard of the forces with Dan shall be on the north side according to their armies, and the leader of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai."
2:26 And his army was numbered at sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
2:27 "Those who camp next to him shall be the tribe of Asher, and the leader of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ocran."
2:28 And his army was numbered at forty-one thousand five hundred.
2:29 "Then comes the tribe of Naphtali, and the leader of the children of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan."
2:30 And his army was numbered at fifty-three thousand four hundred.
2:31 "All who were numbered of the forces with Dan, one hundred and fifty-seven thousand six hundred-they shall break camp last, with their standards."
2:32 These are the ones who were numbered of the children of Israel by their fathers' houses. All who were numbered according to their armies of the forces were six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty.
2:33 But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel, just as the Lord commanded Moses.
2:34 Thus the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses; so they camped by their standards and so they broke camp, each one by his family, according to their fathers' houses.

1:42 兵役に就くことのできる二十歳以上の者を氏族ごとに、家系に従って戸籍登録をすると、ナフタリから生まれた子孫については次のようになる。
1:43 すなわち、ナフタリ族の登録された者は五万三千四百人。
1:44 以上が、モーセ、アロンおよびイスラエルの指導者十二名によって登録された者の数である。この十二名は、それぞれ家系の代表者であった。
1:45 イスラエルの人々のうち、家系に従って登録された者はすべて、イスラエルの中から兵役に就くことのできる二十歳以上の者であって、
1:46 登録された者の総計は六十万三千五百五十人であった。
◆レビ人の任務
1:47 レビ人は、父祖以来の部族に従って彼らと共に登録されることはなかった。
1:48 主がモーセにこう仰せになったからである。
1:49 「レビ族のみは、イスラエルの人々と共に登録したり、その人口調査をしたりしてはならない。
1:50 むしろ、レビ人には掟の幕屋、その祭具および他の付属品にかかわる任務を与え、幕屋とすべての祭具の運搬と管理をさせ、幕屋の周囲に宿営させなさい。

1:1 Now the Lord spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying:
1:2 "Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, every male individually,
1:3 "from twenty years old and above-all who are able to go to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall number them by their armies.
1:4 "And with you there shall be a man from every tribe, each one the head of his father's house.
1:5 "These are the names of the men who shall stand with you: from Reuben, Elizur the son of Shedeur;
1:6 "from Simeon, Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai;
1:7 "from Judah, Nahshon the son of Amminadab;
1:8 "from Issachar, Nethanel the son of Zuar;
1:9 "from Zebulun, Eliab the son of Helon;
1:10 "from the sons of Joseph: from Ephraim, Elishama the son of Ammihud; from Manasseh, Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur;
1:11 "from Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gideoni;
1:12 "from Dan, Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai;
1:13 "from Asher, Pagiel the son of Ocran;
1:14 "from Gad, Eliasaph the son of Deuel;
1:15 "from Naphtali, Ahira the son of Enan."
1:16 These were chosen from the congregation, leaders of their fathers' tribes, heads of the divisions in Israel.
1:17 Then Moses and Aaron took these men who had been mentioned by name,
1:18 and they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they recited their ancestry by families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, each one individually.
1:19 As the Lord commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the Wilderness of Sinai.
1:20 Now the children of Reuben, Israel's oldest son, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of names, every male individually, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
1:21 those who were numbered of the tribe of Reuben were forty-six thousand five hundred.
1:22 From the children of Simeon, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers' house, of those who were numbered, according to the number of names, every male individually, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
1:23 those who were numbered of the tribe of Simeon were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
1:24 From the children of Gad, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
1:25 those who were numbered of the tribe of Gad were forty-five thousand six hundred and fifty.
1:26 From the children of Judah, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
1:27 those who were numbered of the tribe of Judah were seventy-four thousand six hundred.
1:28 From the children of Issachar, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
1:29 those who were numbered of the tribe of Issachar were fifty-four thousand four hundred.
1:30 From the children of Zebulun, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
1:31 those who were numbered of the tribe of Zebulun were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.
1:32 From the sons of Joseph, the children of Ephraim, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
1:33 those who were numbered of the tribe of Ephraim were forty thousand five hundred.
1:34 From the children of Manasseh, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
1:35 those who were numbered of the tribe of Manasseh were thirty-two thousand two hundred.
1:36 From the children of Benjamin, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
1:37 those who were numbered of the tribe of Benjamin were thirty-five thousand four hundred.
1:38 From the children of Dan, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
1:39 those who were numbered of the tribe of Dan were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
1:40 From the children of Asher, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
1:41 those who were numbered of the tribe of Asher were forty-one thousand five hundred.
1:42 From the children of Naphtali, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
1:43 those who were numbered of the tribe of Naphtali were fifty-three thousand four hundred.
1:44 These are the ones who were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, with the leaders of Israel, twelve men, each one representing his father's house.
1:45 So all who were numbered of the children of Israel, by their fathers' houses, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war in Israel-
1:46 all who were numbered were six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty.
1:47 But the Levites were not numbered among them by their fathers' tribe;
1:48 for the Lord had spoken to Moses, saying:
1:49 "Only the tribe of Levi you shall not number, nor take a census of them among the children of Israel;
1:50 "but you shall appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the Testimony, over all its furnishings, and over all things that belong to it; they shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; they shall attend to it and camp around the tabernacle.
1:51 "And when the tabernacle is to go forward, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall set it up. The outsider who comes near shall be put to death.
1:52 "The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, everyone by his own camp, everyone by his own standard, according to their armies;
1:53 "but the Levites shall camp around the tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel; and the Levites shall keep charge of the tabernacle of the Testimony."
1:54 Thus the children of Israel did; according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so they did.

31:22 And Laban was told on the third day that Jacob had fled.
31:23 Then he took his brethren with him and pursued him for seven days' journey, and he overtook him in the mountains of Gilead.
31:24 But God had come to Laban the Syrian in a dream by night, and said to him, "Be careful that you speak to Jacob neither good nor bad."
31:25 So Laban overtook Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mountains, and Laban with his brethren pitched in the mountains of Gilead.
31:26 And Laban said to Jacob: "What have you done, that you have stolen away unknown to me, and carried away my daughters like captives taken with the sword?
31:27 "Why did you flee away secretly, and steal away from me, and not tell me; for I might have sent you away with joy and songs, with timbrel and harp?
31:28 "And you did not allow me to kiss my sons and my daughters. Now you have done foolishly in so doing.
31:29 "It is in my power to do you harm, but the God of your father spoke to me last night, saying, 'Be careful that you speak to Jacob neither good nor bad.'
31:30 "And now you have surely gone because you greatly long for your father's house, but why did you steal my gods?"
31:31 Then Jacob answered and said to Laban, "Because I was afraid, for I said, 'Perhaps you would take your daughters from me by force.'
31:32 "With whomever you find your gods, do not let him live. In the presence of our brethren, identify what I have of yours and take it with you." For Jacob did not know that Rachel had stolen them.
31:33 And Laban went into Jacob's tent, into Leah's tent, and into the two maids' tents, but he did not find them. Then he went out of Leah's tent and entered Rachel's tent.
31:34 Now Rachel had taken the household idols, put them in the camel's saddle, and sat on them. And Laban searched all about the tent but did not find them.
31:35 And she said to her father, "Let it not displease my lord that I cannot rise before you, for the manner of women is with me." And he searched but did not find the household idols.
31:36 Then Jacob was angry and rebuked Laban, and Jacob answered and said to Laban: "What is my trespass? What is my sin, that you have so hotly pursued me?
31:37 "Although you have searched all my things, what part of your household things have you found? Set it here before my brethren and your brethren, that they may judge between us both!
31:38 "These twenty years I have been with you; your ewes and your female goats have not miscarried their young, and I have not eaten the rams of your flock.
31:39 "That which was torn by beasts I did not bring to you; I bore the loss of it. You required it from my hand, whether stolen by day or stolen by night.
31:40 "There I was! In the day the drought consumed me, and the frost by night, and my sleep departed from my eyes.
31:41 "Thus I have been in your house twenty years; I served you fourteen years for your two daughters, and six years for your flock, and you have changed my wages ten times.
31:42 "Unless the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely now you would have sent me away empty-handed. God has seen my affliction and the labor of my hands, and rebuked you last night."
◆復活についての問答
その同じ日、復活はないと言っているサドカイ派の人々が、イエスに近寄って来て尋ねた。
「先生、モーセは言っています。『ある人が子がなくて死んだ場合、その弟は兄嫁と結婚して、兄の跡継ぎをもうけねばならない』と。
さて、わたしたちのところに、七人の兄弟がいました。長男は妻を迎えましたが死に、跡継ぎがなかったので、その妻を弟に残しました。
次男も三男も、ついに七人とも同じようになりました。
最後にその女も死にました。
すると復活の時、その女は七人のうちのだれの妻になるのでしょうか。皆その女を妻にしたのです。」
イエスはお答えになった。「あなたたちは聖書も神の力も知らないから、思い違いをしている。
復活の時には、めとることも嫁ぐこともなく、天使のようになるのだ。
死者の復活については、神があなたたちに言われた言葉を読んだことがないのか。
『わたしはアブラハムの神、イサクの神、ヤコブの神である』とあるではないか。神は死んだ者の神ではなく、生きている者の神なのだ。」
群衆はこれを聞いて、イエスの教えに驚いた。
The same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Him
and asked Him,
saying: "Teacher, Moses said that if a man dies, having no children,
his brother shall marry his wife and raise up offspring for his brother.
"Now there were with us seven brothers. The first died after he had
married, and having no offspring, left his wife to his brother.
"Likewise the second also, and the third, even to the seventh.
"Last of all the woman died also.
"Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife of the seven will she
be? For they all had her."
Jesus answered and said to them, "You are mistaken, not knowing the
Scriptures nor the power of God.
"For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage,
but are like angels of God in heaven.
"But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what
was spoken to you by God, saying,
'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? God
is not the God of the dead, but of the living."

Then Samson said to them, "Let me pose a riddle to you. If you can
correctly solve and explain it to me within the seven days of the feast,
then I will give you thirty linen garments and thirty changes of clothing.
"But if you cannot explain it to me, then you shall give me thirty
linen garments and thirty changes of clothing." And they said to him,
"Pose your riddle, that we may hear it."
So he said to them:"Out of the eater came something to eat,And out
of the strong came something sweet." Now for three days they could
not explain the riddle.
But it came to pass on the seventh day that they said to Samson's wife,
"Entice your husband, that he may explain the riddle to us, or else
we will burn you and your father's house with fire. Have you invited us
in order to take what is ours? Is that not so?
Then Samson's wife wept on him, and said, "You only hate me! You do
not love me! You have posed a riddle to the sons of my people, but you
have not explained it to me." And he said to her, "Look, I have
not explained it to my father or my mother; so should I explain it to you?"
Now she had wept on him the seven days while their feast lasted. And it
happened on the seventh day that he told her, because she pressed him so
much. Then she explained the riddle to the sons of her people.
「もし、わたしが自分自身について証しをするなら、その証しは真実ではない。
わたしについて証しをなさる方は別におられる。

あなたたちは聖書の中に永遠の命があると考えて、聖書を研究している。ところが、聖書はわたしについて証しをするものだ。
それなのに、あなたたちは、命を得るためにわたしのところへ来ようとしない。
わたしは、人からの誉れは受けない。
しかし、あなたたちの内には神への愛がないことを、わたしは知っている。
わたしは父の名によって来たのに、あなたたちはわたしを受け入れない。もし、ほかの人が自分の名によって来れば、あなたたちは受け入れる。
互いに相手からの誉れは受けるのに、唯一の神からの誉れは求めようとしないあなたたちには、どうして信じることができようか。
わたしが父にあなたたちを訴えるなどと、考えてはならない。あなたたちを訴えるのは、あなたたちが頼りにしているモーセなのだ。
あなたたちは、モーセを信じたのであれば、わたしをも信じたはずだ。モーセは、わたしについて書いているからである。
しかし、モーセの書いたことを信じないのであれば、どうしてわたしが語ることを信じることができようか。」
"If I bear witness of Myself, My witness is not true.
"There is another who bears witness of Me, and I know that the witness
which He witnesses of Me is true.
"You have sent to John, and he has borne witness to the truth.
"Yet I do not receive testimony from man, but I say these things that
you may be saved.
"He was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing for a time
to rejoice in his light.
"But I have a greater witness than John's; for the works which the
Father has given Me to finish-the very works that I do-bear witness of
Me, that the Father has sent Me.
"And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have
neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form.
"But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent,
Him you do not believe.
"You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal
life; and these are they which testify of Me.
"But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.
"I do not receive honor from men.
"But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you.
"I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another
comes in his own name, him you will receive.
"How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not
seek the honor that comes from the only God?
"Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one
who accuses you-Moses, in whom you trust.
"For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about
Me.
"But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?"
◆「迷い出た羊」のたとえ
「これらの小さな者を一人でも軽んじないように気をつけなさい。言っておくが、彼らの天使たちは天でいつもわたしの天の父の御顔を仰いでいるのである。
人の子は、失われたものを救うために来た。
あなたがたはどう思うか。ある人が羊を百匹持っていて、その一匹が迷い出たとすれば、九十九匹を山に残しておいて、迷い出た一匹を捜しに行かないだろうか。はっきり言っておくが、もし、それを見つけたら、迷わずにいた九十九匹より、その一匹のことを喜ぶだろう。
そのように、これらの小さな者が一人でも滅びることは、あなたがたの天の父の御心ではない。」
12:25
"Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I
say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father
who is in heaven.
"For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.
"What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying?
"And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more
over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray.
"Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one
of these little ones should perish.

◆イエスとサマリアの女
さて、イエスがヨハネよりも多くの弟子をつくり、洗礼を授けておられるということが、ファリサイ派の人々の耳に入った。イエスはそれを知ると、
――洗礼を授けていたのは、イエス御自身ではなく、弟子たちである――
ユダヤを去り、再びガリラヤへ行かれた。
しかし、サマリアを通らねばならなかった。
それで、ヤコブがその子ヨセフに与えた土地の近くにある、シカルというサマリアの町に来られた。
そこにはヤコブの井戸があった。イエスは旅に疲れて、そのまま井戸のそばに座っておられた。正午ごろのことである。
サマリアの女が水をくみに来た。イエスは、「水を飲ませてください」と言われた。
弟子たちは食べ物を買うために町に行っていた。
すると、サマリアの女は、「ユダヤ人のあなたがサマリアの女のわたしに、どうして水を飲ませてほしいと頼むのですか」と言った。ユダヤ人はサマリア人とは交際しないからである。
イエスは答えて言われた。「もしあなたが、神の賜物を知っており、また、『水を飲ませてください』と言ったのがだれであるか知っていたならば、あなたの方からその人に頼み、その人はあなたに生きた水を与えたことであろう。」
女は言った。「主よ、あなたはくむ物をお持ちでないし、井戸は深いのです。どこからその生きた水を手にお入れになるのですか。
あなたは、わたしたちの父ヤコブよりも偉いのですか。ヤコブがこの井戸をわたしたちに与え、彼自身も、その子供や家畜も、この井戸から水を飲んだのです。」
イエスは答えて言われた。「この水を飲む者はだれでもまた渇く。
しかし、わたしが与える水を飲む者は決して渇かない。わたしが与える水はその人の内で泉となり、永遠の命に至る水がわき出る。」
女は言った。「主よ、渇くことがないように、また、ここにくみに来なくてもいいように、その水をください。」
イエスが、「行って、あなたの夫をここに呼んで来なさい」と言われると、
女は答えて、「わたしには夫はいません」と言った。イエスは言われた。「『夫はいません』とは、まさにそのとおりだ。
あなたには五人の夫がいたが、今連れ添っているのは夫ではない。あなたは、ありのままを言ったわけだ。」
女は言った。「主よ、あなたは預言者だとお見受けします。
わたしどもの先祖はこの山で礼拝しましたが、あなたがたは、礼拝すべき場所はエルサレムにあると言っています。」
イエスは言われた。「婦人よ、わたしを信じなさい。あなたがたが、この山でもエルサレムでもない所で、父を礼拝する時が来る。
あなたがたは知らないものを礼拝しているが、わたしたちは知っているものを礼拝している。救いはユダヤ人から来るからだ。
しかし、まことの礼拝をする者たちが、霊と真理をもって父を礼拝する時が来る。今がその時である。なぜなら、父はこのように礼拝する者を求めておられるからだ。
神は霊である。だから、神を礼拝する者は、霊と真理をもって礼拝しなければならない。」
女が言った。「わたしは、キリストと呼ばれるメシアが来られることは知っています。その方が来られるとき、わたしたちに一切のことを知らせてくださいます。」
イエスは言われた。「それは、あなたと話をしているこのわたしである。」

4:8イエスは言われた。「わたしの食べ物とは、わたしをお遣わしになった方の御心を行い、その業を成し遂げることである。
あなたがたは、『刈り入れまでまだ四か月もある』と言っているではないか。わたしは言っておく。目を上げて畑を見るがよい。色づいて刈り入れを待っている。既に、
刈り入れる人は報酬を受け、永遠の命に至る実を集めている。こうして、種を蒔く人も刈る人も、共に喜ぶのである。
そこで、『一人が種を蒔き、別の人が刈り入れる』ということわざのとおりになる。
あなたがたが自分では労苦しなかったものを刈り入れるために、わたしはあなたがたを遣わした。他の人々が労苦し、あなたがたはその労苦の実りにあずかっている。」

Therefore, when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made
and baptized more disciples than John
(though Jesus Himself did not baptize, but His disciples),
He left Judea and departed again to Galilee.
But He needed to go through Samaria.
So He came to a city of Samaria which is called Sychar, near the plot of
ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey,
sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give Me
a drink."
For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.
Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.
Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and
who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him,
and He would have given you living water."
The woman said to Him, "Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the
well is deep. Where then do You get that living water?
"Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and
drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?"
Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water will
thirst again,
"but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never
thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain
of water springing up into everlasting life."
The woman said to Him, "Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst,
nor come here to draw."
Jesus said to her, "Go, call your husband, and come here."
The woman answered and said, "I have no husband." Jesus said
to her, "You have well said, 'I have no husband,'
"for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is
not your husband; in that you spoke truly."
The woman said to Him, "Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet.
"Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in
Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship."
Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you
will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father.
"You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation
is of the Jews.
"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will
worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such
to worship Him.
"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and
truth."
The woman said to Him, "I know that Messiah is coming" (who is
called Christ). "When He comes, He will tell us all things."
Jesus said to her, "I who speak to you am He."
And at this point His disciples came, and they marveled that He talked
with a woman; yet no one said, "What do You seek?" or, "Why
are You talking with her?"
The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said
to the men,
"Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this
be the Christ?"
Then they went out of the city and came to Him.
In the meantime His disciples urged Him, saying, "Rabbi, eat."
4:8But He said to them, "I have food to eat of which you do not know."
Therefore the disciples said to one another, "Has anyone brought Him
anything to eat?"
Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me,
and to finish His work.
"Do you not say, 'There are still four months and then comes the harvest'?
Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they
are already white for harvest!
"And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life,
that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.
"For in this the saying is true: 'One sows and another reaps.'
"I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have
labored, and you have entered into their labors."
And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the
word of the woman who testified, "He told me all that I ever did."
So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they urged Him to stay with them;
and He stayed there two days.
And many more believed because of His own word.
Then they said to the woman, "Now we believe, not because of what
you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed
the Christ, the Savior of the world."

25:6 安息の年に畑に生じたものはあなたたちの食物となる。あなたをはじめ、あなたの男女の奴隷、雇い人やあなたのもとに宿っている滞在者、
25:7 更にはあなたの家畜や野生の動物のために、地の産物はすべて食物となる。
25:8 あなたは安息の年を七回、すなわち七年を七度数えなさい。七を七倍した年は四十九年である。
25:9 その年の第七の月の十日の贖罪日に、雄羊の角笛を鳴り響かせる。あなたたちは国中に角笛を吹き鳴らして、

25:25 もし同胞の一人が貧しくなったため、自分の所有地の一部を売ったならば、それを買い戻す義務を負う親戚が来て、売った土地を買い戻さねばならない。
25:26 もしその人のために買い戻す人がいなかった場合、その人自身が後に豊かになって、自分で買い戻すことができるようになったならば、
25:27 その人は売ってからの年数を数え、次のヨベルの年までに残る年数に従って計算して、買った人に支払えば、自分の所有地の返却を受けることができる。
25:28 しかし、買い戻す力がないならば、それはヨベルの年まで、買った人の手にあるが、ヨベルの年には手放されるので、その人は自分の所有地の返却を受けることができる。

And the Lord spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, saying,
25:2 "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall keep a sabbath to the Lord.
25:3 'Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather its fruit;
25:4 'but in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath to the Lord. You shall neither sow your field nor prune your vineyard.
25:5 'What grows of its own accord of your harvest you shall not reap, nor gather the grapes of your untended vine, for it is a year of rest for the land.
25:6 'And the sabbath produce of the land shall be food for you: for you, your male and female servants, your hired man, and the stranger who dwells with you,
25:7 'for your livestock and the beasts that are in your land-all its produce shall be for food.
25:8 'And you shall count seven sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years; and the time of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years.
25:9 'Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement you shall make the trumpet to sound throughout all your land.
25:10 'And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants.
It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession,
and each of you shall return to his family.
25:11 'That fiftieth year shall be a Jubilee to you; in it you shall neither sow nor reap what grows of its own accord, nor gather the grapes of your untended vine.
25:12 'For it is the Jubilee; it shall be holy to you; you shall eat its produce from the field.
25:13 'In this Year of Jubilee, each of you shall return to his possession.
25:14 'And if you sell anything to your neighbor or buy from your neighbor's hand, you shall not oppress one another.
25:15 'According to the number of years after the Jubilee you shall buy from your neighbor, and according to the number of years of crops he shall sell to you.
25:16 'According to the multitude of years you shall increase its price, and according to the fewer number of years you shall diminish its price; for he sells to you according to the number of the years of the crops.
25:17 'Therefore you shall not oppress one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am the Lord your God.
25:18 'So you shall observe My statutes and keep My judgments, and perform them; and you will dwell in the land in safety.
25:19 'Then the land will yield its fruit, and you will eat your fill, and dwell there in safety.
25:20 'And if you say, "What shall we eat in the seventh year, since we shall not sow nor gather in our produce?"
25:21 'Then I will command My blessing on you in the sixth year, and it will bring forth produce enough for three years.
25:22 'And you shall sow in the eighth year, and eat old produce until the ninth year; until its produce comes in, you shall eat of the old harvest.
25:23 'The land shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine; for you are strangers and sojourners with Me.
25:24 'And in all the land of your possession you shall grant redemption of the land.
25:25 'If one of your brethren becomes poor, and has sold some of his possession, and if his redeeming relative comes to redeem it, then he may redeem what his brother sold.
25:26 'Or if the man has no one to redeem it, but he himself becomes able to redeem it,
25:27 'then let him count the years since its sale, and restore the remainder to the man to whom he sold it, that he may return to his possession.
25:28 'But if he is not able to have it restored to himself, then what was sold shall remain in the hand of him who bought it until the Year of Jubilee; and in the Jubilee it shall be released, and he shall return to his possession.
25:29 'If a man sells a house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year he may redeem it.
25:30 'But if it is not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house in the walled city shall belong permanently to him who bought it, throughout his generations. It shall not be released in the Jubilee.
25:31 'However the houses of villages which have no wall around them shall be counted as the fields of the country. They may be redeemed, and they shall be released in the Jubilee.
25:32 'Nevertheless the cities of the Levites, and the houses in the cities of their possession, the Levites may redeem at any time.
25:33 'And if a man purchases a house from the Levites, then the house that was sold in the city of his possession shall be released in the Jubilee; for the houses in the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.
25:34 'But the field of the common-land of their cities may not be sold, for it is their perpetual possession.
25:35 'If one of your brethren becomes poor, and falls into poverty among you, then you shall help him, like a stranger or a sojourner, that he may live with you.
25:36 'Take no usury or interest from him; but fear your God, that your brother may live with you.
25:37 'You shall not lend him your money for usury, nor lend him your food at a profit.
25:38 'I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan and to be your God.
25:39 'And if one of your brethren who dwells by you becomes poor, and sells himself to you, you shall not compel him to serve as a slave.
25:40 'As a hired servant and a sojourner he shall be with you, and shall serve you until the Year of Jubilee.
25:41 'And then he shall depart from you-he and his children with him-and shall return to his own family. He shall return to the possession of his fathers.
25:42 'For they are My servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt; they shall not be sold as slaves.
25:43 'You shall not rule over him with rigor, but you shall fear your God.
25:44 'And as for your male and female slaves whom you may have-from the nations that are around you, from them you may buy male and female slaves.
25:45 'Moreover you may buy the children of the strangers who dwell among you, and their families who are with you, which they beget in your land; and they shall become your property.
25:46 'And you may take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them as a possession; they shall be your permanent slaves. But regarding your brethren, the children of Israel, you shall not rule over one another with rigor.
25:47 'Now if a sojourner or stranger close to you becomes rich, and one of your brethren who dwells by him becomes poor, and sells himself to the stranger or sojourner close to you, or to a member of the stranger's family,
25:48 'after he is sold he may be redeemed again. One of his brothers may redeem him;
25:49 'or his uncle or his uncle's son may redeem him; or anyone who is near of kin to him in his family may redeem him; or if he is able he may redeem himself.
25:50 'Thus he shall reckon with him who bought him: The price of his release shall be according to the number of years, from the year that he was sold to him until the Year of Jubilee; it shall be according to the time of a hired servant for him.
25:51 'If there are still many years remaining, according to them he shall repay the price of his redemption from the money with which he was bought.
25:52 'And if there remain but a few years until the Year of Jubilee, then he shall reckon with him, and according to his years he shall repay him the price of his redemption.
25:53 'He shall be with him as a yearly hired servant, and he shall not rule with rigor over him in your sight.
25:54 'And if he is not redeemed in these years, then he shall be released in the Year of Jubilee-he and his children with him.
25:55 'For the children of Israel are servants to Me; they are My servants whom I brought out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

12:1 "At that time Michael shall stand up,The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people;And there shall be a time of trouble,Such as never was since there was a nation,Even to that time.And at that time your people shall be delivered,Every one who is found written in the book.
12:2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,Some to everlasting life,Some to shame and everlasting contempt.
12:3 Those who are wise shall shineLike the brightness of the firmament,And those who turn many to righteousnessLike the stars forever and ever.
12:4 "But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase."
12:5 Then I, Daniel, looked; and there stood two others, one on this riverbank and the other on that riverbank.
12:6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, "How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders be?"
12:7 Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished.
12:8 Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, "My lord, what shall be the end of these things?"
12:9 And he said, "Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
12:10 "Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.
12:11 "And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12:12 "Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.
12:13 "But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days."

21:21 また、十二の門は十二の真珠であって、どの門もそれぞれ一個の真珠でできていた。都の大通りは、透き通ったガラスのような純金であった。
21:22 わたしは、都の中に神殿を見なかった。全能者である神、主と小羊とが都の神殿だからである。
21:23 この都には、それを照らす太陽も月も、必要でない。神の栄光が都を照らしており、小羊が都の明かりだからである。
21:24 諸国の民は、都の光の中を歩き、地上の王たちは、自分たちの栄光を携えて、都に来る。
21:25 都の門は、一日中決して閉ざされない。そこには夜がないからである。
21:26 人々は、諸国の民の栄光と誉れとを携えて都に来る。
21:27 しかし、汚れた者、忌まわしいことと偽りを行う者はだれ一人、決して都に入れない。小羊の命の書に名が書いてある者だけが入れる。
22:1 天使はまた、神と小羊の玉座から流れ出て、水晶のように輝く命の水の川をわたしに見せた。
22:2 川は、都の大通りの中央を流れ、その両岸には命の木があって、年に十二回実を結び、毎月実をみのらせる。そして、その木の葉は諸国の民の病を治す。

◆キリストの再臨

22:14 命の木に対する権利を与えられ、門を通って都に入れるように、自分の衣を洗い清める者は幸いである。
22:15 犬のような者、魔術を使う者、みだらなことをする者、人を殺す者、偶像を拝む者、すべて偽りを好み、また行う者は都の外にいる。

22:17 “霊”と花嫁とが言う。「来てください。」これを聞く者も言うがよい、「来てください」と。渇いている者は来るがよい。命の水が欲しい者は、価なしに飲むがよい。
22:18 この書物の預言の言葉を聞くすべての者に、わたしは証しする。これに付け加える者があれば、神はこの書物に書いてある災いをその者に加えられる。

21:9 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, "Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife."
21:10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
21:11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.
21:12 Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
21:13 three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.
21:14 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
21:15 And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.
21:16 The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal.
21:17 Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.
21:18 The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.
21:19 The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,
21:20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.
21:21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.
21:22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
21:23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.
21:24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.
21:25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there).
21:26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.
21:27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
22:1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
22:2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
22:3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.
22:4 They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.
22:5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.
22:6 Then he said to me, "These words are faithful and true." And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place.
22:7 "Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."
22:8 Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things.
22:9 Then he said to me, "See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."
22:10 And he said to me, "Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.
22:11 "He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still."
22:12 "And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.
22:13 "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last."
22:14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
22:15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.
22:16 "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star."
22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.
22:18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;
22:19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
22:20 He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

1:1 Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab.
1:2 Now Ahaziah fell through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria, and was injured; so he sent messengers and said to them, "Go, inquire of Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I shall recover from this injury."
1:3 But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite, "Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say to them, 'Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to inquire of Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron?'
1:4 "Now therefore, thus says the Lord: 'You shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but you shall surely die.' " So Elijah departed.
1:5 And when the messengers returned to him, he said to them, "Why have you come back?"
1:6 So they said to him, "A man came up to meet us, and said to us, 'Go, return to the king who sent you, and say to him, "Thus says the Lord: 'Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending to inquire of Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but you shall surely die.' " ' "
1:7 Then he said to them, "What kind of man was it who came up to meet you and told you these words?"
1:8 So they answered him, "A hairy man wearing a leather belt around his waist." And he said, "It is Elijah the Tishbite."
1:9 Then the king sent to him a captain of fifty with his fifty men. So he went up to him; and there he was, sitting on the top of a hill. And he spoke to him: "Man of God, the king has said, 'Come down!' "
1:10 So Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, "If I am a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men." And fire came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty.
1:11 Then he sent to him another captain of fifty with his fifty men. And he answered and said to him: "Man of God, thus has the king said, 'Come down quickly!' "
1:12 So Elijah answered and said to them, "If I am a man of God, let fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men." And the fire of God came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty.
1:13 Again, he sent a third captain of fifty with his fifty men. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and pleaded with him, and said to him: "Man of God, please let my life and the life of these fifty servants of yours be precious in your sight.
1:14 "Look, fire has come down from heaven and burned up the first two captains of fifties with their fifties. But let my life now be precious in your sight."
1:15 And the angel of the Lord said to Elijah, "Go down with him; do not be afraid of him." So he arose and went down with him to the king.
1:16 Then he said to him, "Thus says the Lord: 'Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of His word? Therefore you shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but you shall surely die.' "
1:17 So Ahaziah died according to the word of the Lord which Elijah had spoken. Because he had no son, Jehoram became king in his place, in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah.
1:18 Now the rest of the acts of Ahaziah which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

9:35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
9:36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.
9:37 Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
9:38 "Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."

6:2 And David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baale Judah to bring up from there the ark of God, whose name is called by the Name, the Lord of Hosts, who dwells between the cherubim.
6:3 So they set the ark of God on a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.
6:4 And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill, accompanying the ark of God; and Ahio went before the ark.
6:5 Then David and all the house of Israel played music before the Lord on all kinds of instruments of fir wood, on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on sistrums, and on cymbals.
6:6 And when they came to Nachon's threshing floor, Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled.
6:7 Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Uzzah, and God struck him there for his error; and he died there by the ark of God.
6:8 And David became angry because of the Lord's outbreak against Uzzah; and he called the name of the place Perez Uzzah to this day.
6:9 David was afraid of the Lord that day; and he said, "How can the ark of the Lord come to me?"
6:10 So David would not move the ark of the Lord with him into the City of David; but David took it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.
6:11 The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months. And the Lord blessed Obed-Edom and all his household.
6:12 Now it was told King David, saying, "The Lord has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God." So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with gladness.
6:13 And so it was, when those bearing the ark of the Lord had gone six paces, that he sacrificed oxen and fatted sheep.
6:14 Then David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod.
6:15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet.
6:16 Now as the ark of the Lord came into the City of David, Michal, Saul's daughter, looked through a window and saw King David leaping and whirling before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart.
6:17 So they brought the ark of the Lord, and set it in its place in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it. Then David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord.
6:18 And when David had finished offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord of hosts.
6:19 Then he distributed among all the people, among the whole multitude of Israel, both the women and the men, to everyone a loaf of bread, a piece of meat, and a cake of raisins. So all the people departed, everyone to his house.
6:20 Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, "How glorious was the king of Israel today, uncovering himself today in the eyes of the maids of his servants, as one of the base fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!"
6:21 So David said to Michal, "It was before the Lord, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the Lord.
6:22 "And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor."
6:23 Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.
◆神の箱をエルサレムへ運び上げる
6:1 ダビデは更にイスラエルの精鋭三万をことごとく集めた。

And he made the Sea of cast bronze, ten cubits from one brim to the other;
it was completely round. Its height was five cubits, and a line of thirty
cubits measured its circumference.

18:1 And it came to pass after many days that the word of the Lord came to Elijah, in the third year, saying, "Go, present yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the earth."
18:2 So Elijah went to present himself to Ahab; and there was a severe famine in Samaria.
18:3 And Ahab had called Obadiah, who was in charge of his house. (Now Obadiah feared the Lord greatly.
18:4 For so it was, while Jezebel massacred the prophets of the Lord, that Obadiah had taken one hundred prophets and hidden them, fifty to a cave, and had fed them with bread and water.)
18:5 And Ahab had said to Obadiah, "Go into the land to all the springs of water and to all the brooks; perhaps we may find grass to keep the horses and mules alive, so that we will not have to kill any livestock.
18:6 So they divided the land between them to explore it; Ahab went one way by himself, and Obadiah went another way by himself.
18:7 Now as Obadiah was on his way, suddenly Elijah met him; and he recognized him, and fell on his face, and said, "Is that you, my lord Elijah?"
18:8 And he answered him, "It is I. Go, tell your master, 'Elijah is here.' "
18:9 So he said, "How have I sinned, that you are delivering your servant into the hand of Ahab, to kill me?
18:10 "As the Lord your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my master has not sent someone to hunt for you; and when they said, 'He is not here,' he took an oath from the kingdom or nation that they could not find you.
18:11 "And now you say, 'Go, tell your master, "Elijah is here" '!
18:12 "And it shall come to pass, as soon as I am gone from you, that the Spirit of the Lord will carry you to a place I do not know; so when I go and tell Ahab, and he cannot find you, he will kill me. But I your servant have feared the Lord from my youth.
18:13 "Was it not reported to my lord what I did when Jezebel killed the prophets of the Lord, how I hid one hundred men of the Lord's prophets, fifty to a cave, and fed them with bread and water?
18:14 "And now you say, 'Go, tell your master, "Elijah is here." ' He will kill me!"
18:15 Then Elijah said, "As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand, I will surely present myself to him today."
18:16 So Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him; and Ahab went to meet Elijah.
18:17 Then it happened, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him, "Is that you, O troubler of Israel?"
18:18 And he answered, "I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father's house have, in that you have forsaken the commandments of the Lord and have followed the Baals.
18:19 "Now therefore, send and gather all Israel to me on Mount Carmel, the four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal, and the four hundred prophets of Asherah, who eat at Jezebel's table."
18:20 So Ahab sent for all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together on Mount Carmel.
18:21 And Elijah came to all the people, and said, "How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him." But the people answered him not a word.
18:22 Then Elijah said to the people, "I alone am left a prophet of the Lord; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.
18:23 "Therefore let them give us two bulls; and let them choose one bull for themselves, cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, but put no fire under it; and I will prepare the other bull, and lay it on the wood, but put no fire under it.
18:24 "Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord; and the God who answers by fire, He is God." So all the people answered and said, "It is well spoken."
18:25 Now Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, "Choose one bull for yourselves and prepare it first, for you are many; and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under it."
18:26 So they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even till noon, saying, "O Baal, hear us!" But there was no voice; no one answered. Then they leaped about the altar which they had made.
18:27 And so it was, at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, "Cry aloud, for he is a god; either he is meditating, or he is busy, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is sleeping and must be awakened."
18:28 So they cried aloud, and cut themselves, as was their custom, with knives and lances, until the blood gushed out on them.
18:29 And when midday was past, they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice. But there was no voice; no one answered, no one paid attention.
18:30 Then Elijah said to all the people, "Come near to me." So all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down.
18:31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the
word of the Lord had come, saying, "Israel shall be your name."
18:32 Then with the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord; and
he made a trench around the altar large enough to hold two seahs of seed.
18:33 And he put the wood in order, cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood, and said, "Fill four waterpots with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice and on the wood."
18:34 Then he said, "Do it a second time," and they did it a second time; and he said, "Do it a third time," and they did it a third time.
18:35 So the water ran all around the altar; and he also filled the trench with water.
18:36 And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, "Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word.
18:37 "Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again."
18:38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench.
18:39 Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, "The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!"
18:40 And Elijah said to them, "Seize the prophets of Baal! Do not let one of them escape!" So they seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the Brook Kishon and executed them there.

11:45 Then many of the Jews who had come to Mary, and had seen the things Jesus did, believed in Him.
11:46 But some of them went away to the Pharisees and told them the things Jesus did.
11:47 Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, "What shall we do? For this Man works many signs.
11:48 "If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation."
11:49 And one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing at all,
11:50 "nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and not that the whole nation should perish."
11:51 Now this he did not say on his own authority; but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,
11:52 and not for that nation only, but also that He would gather together in one the children of God who were scattered abroad.
11:53 Then, from that day on, they plotted to put Him to death.
11:54 Therefore Jesus no longer walked openly among the Jews, but went from there into the country near the wilderness, to a city called Ephraim, and there remained with His disciples.
11:55 And the Passover of the Jews was near, and many went from the country up to Jerusalem before the Passover, to purify themselves.
11:56 Then they sought Jesus, and spoke among themselves as they stood in the temple, "What do you think-that He will not come to the feast?"
11:57 Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a command, that if anyone knew where He was, he should report it, that they might seize Him.

15:1 Then the scribes and Pharisees who were from Jerusalem came to Jesus, saying,
15:2 "Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread."
15:3 He answered and said to them, "Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition?
15:4 "For God commanded, saying, 'Honor your father and your mother'; and, 'He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.'
15:5 "But you say, 'Whoever says to his father or mother, "Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift to God"-
15:6 'then he need not honor his father or mother.' Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.
15:7 "Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:
15:8 'These people draw near to Me with their mouth,And honor Me with their lips,But their heart is far from Me.
15:9 And in vain they worship Me,Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.' "
15:10 When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, "Hear and understand:
15:11 "Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man."
15:12 Then His disciples came and said to Him, "Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?"
15:13 But He answered and said, "Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.
15:14 "Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch."
15:15 Then Peter answered and said to Him, "Explain this parable to us."
15:16 So Jesus said, "Are you also still without understanding?
15:17 "Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated?
15:18 "But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man.
15:19 "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.
15:20 "These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man."

15:15 するとペトロが、「そのたとえを説明してください」と言った。
15:16 イエスは言われた。「あなたがたも、まだ悟らないのか。
15:17 すべて口に入るものは、腹を通って外に出されることが分からないのか。
15:18 しかし、口から出て来るものは、心から出て来るので、これこそ人を汚す。
15:19 悪意、殺意、姦淫、みだらな行い、盗み、偽証、悪口などは、心から出て来るからである。
15:20 これが人を汚す。しかし、手を洗わずに食事をしても、そのことは人を汚すものではない。」
But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
これらすべてに加えて、愛を身に着けなさい。愛は、すべてを完成させるきずなです。
And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins."

60:9 Surely the coastlands shall wait for Me;And the ships of Tarshish will come first,To bring your sons from afar,Their silver and their gold with them,To the name of the Lord your God,And to the Holy One of Israel,Because He has glorified you.
60:10 "The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls,And their kings shall minister to you;For in My wrath I struck you,But in My favor I have had mercy on you.
60:11 Therefore your gates shall be open continually;They shall not be shut day or night,That men may bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles,And their kings in procession.
60:12 For the nation and kingdom which will not serve you shall perish,And those nations shall be utterly ruined.
60:13 "The glory of Lebanon shall come to you,The cypress, the pine, and the box tree together,To beautify the place of My sanctuary;And I will make the place of My feet glorious.
60:14 Also the sons of those who afflicted youShall come bowing to you,And all those who despised you shall fall prostrate at the soles of your feet;And they shall call you The City of the Lord,Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
60:15 "Whereas you have been forsaken and hated,So that no one went through you,I will make you an eternal excellence,A joy of many generations.
60:16 You shall drink the milk of the Gentiles,And milk the breast of kings;You shall know that I, the Lord, am your SaviorAnd your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
60:17 "Instead of bronze I will bring gold,Instead of iron I will bring silver,Instead of wood, bronze,And instead of stones, iron.I will also make your officers peace,And your magistrates righteousness.
60:18 Violence shall no longer be heard in your land,Neither wasting nor destruction within your borders;But you shall call your walls Salvation,And your gates Praise.
60:19 "The sun shall no longer be your light by day,Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you;But the Lord will be to you an everlasting light,And your God your glory.
60:20 Your sun shall no longer go down,Nor shall your moon withdraw itself;For the Lord will be your everlasting light,And the days of your mourning shall be ended.
60:21 Also your people shall all be righteous;They shall inherit the land forever,The branch of My planting,The work of My hands,That I may be glorified.
60:22 A little one shall become a thousand,And a small one a strong nation.I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time."

7:1 After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree.
7:2 Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea,
7:3 saying, "Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads."
7:4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:
7:5 of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed;of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand were sealed;of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand were sealed;
7:6 of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand were sealed;of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand were sealed;of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand were sealed;
7:7 of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand were sealed;of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand were sealed;of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand were sealed;
7:8 of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand were sealed;of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand were sealed;of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed.
7:9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
7:10 and crying out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!"
7:11 All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,
7:12 saying:"Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,Be to our God forever and ever.Amen."
7:13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?"
7:14 And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
7:15 "Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.
7:16 "They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat;
7:17 "for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

13:1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.
13:2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.
13:3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.
13:4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?"
13:5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.
13:6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.
13:7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.
13:8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
13:9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear.
13:10 He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
13:11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.
13:12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13:13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.
13:14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.
13:15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
13:16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,
13:17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.
◆二匹の獣

11:11 I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles.
11:12 Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!
11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry,
11:14 if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and save some of them.
11:15 For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?
11:16 For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches.
11:17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree,
11:18 do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.
11:19 You will say then, "Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in."
11:20 Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear.
11:21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either.
11:22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.
11:23 And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.
11:24 For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

22:41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
22:42 saying, "What do you think about the Christ? Whose Son is He?" They said to Him, "The Son of David."
22:43 He said to them, "How then does David in the Spirit call Him 'Lord,' saying:
22:44 'The Lord said to my Lord,"Sit at My right hand,Till I make Your enemies Your footstool" '?
22:45 "If David then calls Him 'Lord,' how is He his Son?"
22:46 And no one was able to answer Him a word, nor from that day on did anyone dare question Him anymore.

36:1 "And Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whom the Lord has put wisdom and understanding, to know how to do all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, shall do according to all that the Lord has commanded."
36:2 Then Moses called Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, everyone whose heart was stirred, to come and do the work.
36:3 And they received from Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of making the sanctuary. So they continued bringing to him freewill offerings every morning.
36:4 Then all the craftsmen who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each from the work he was doing,
36:5 and they spoke to Moses, saying, "The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the Lord commanded us to do."
36:6 So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, "Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary." And the people were restrained from bringing,
36:7 for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done-indeed too much.
36:8 Then all the gifted artisans among them who worked on the tabernacle made ten curtains woven of fine linen, and of blue, purple, and scarlet thread; with artistic designs of cherubim they made them.
36:9 The length of each curtain was twenty-eight cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits; the curtains were all the same size.
36:10 And he coupled five curtains to one another, and the other five curtains he coupled to one another.
36:11 He made loops of blue yarn on the edge of the curtain on the selvedge of one set; likewise he did on the outer edge of the other curtain of the second set.
36:12 Fifty loops he made on one curtain, and fifty loops he made on the edge of the curtain on the end of the second set; the loops held one curtain to another.
36:13 And he made fifty clasps of gold, and coupled the curtains to one another with the clasps, that it might be one tabernacle.
36:14 He made curtains of goats' hair for the tent over the tabernacle; he made eleven curtains.
36:15 The length of each curtain was thirty cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits; the eleven curtains were the same size.
36:16 He coupled five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves.
36:17 And he made fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in one set, and fifty loops he made on the edge of the curtain of the second set.
36:18 He also made fifty bronze clasps to couple the tent together, that it might be one.
36:19 Then he made a covering for the tent of ram skins dyed red, and a covering of badger skins above that.
36:20 For the tabernacle he made boards of acacia wood, standing upright.
36:21 The length of each board was ten cubits, and the width of each board a cubit and a half.
36:22 Each board had two tenons for binding one to another. Thus he made for all the boards of the tabernacle.
36:23 And he made boards for the tabernacle, twenty boards for the south side.
36:24 Forty sockets of silver he made to go under the twenty boards: two sockets under each of the boards for its two tenons.
36:25 And for the other side of the tabernacle, the north side, he made twenty boards
36:26 and their forty sockets of silver: two sockets under each of the boards.
36:27 For the west side of the tabernacle he made six boards.
36:28 He also made two boards for the two back corners of the tabernacle.
36:29 And they were coupled at the bottom and coupled together at the top by one ring. Thus he made both of them for the two corners.
36:30 So there were eight boards and their sockets-sixteen sockets of silver-two sockets under each of the boards.
36:31 And he made bars of acacia wood: five for the boards on one side of the tabernacle,
36:32 five bars for the boards on the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle on the far side westward.
36:33 And he made the middle bar to pass through the boards from one end to the other.
36:34 He overlaid the boards with gold, made their rings of gold to be holders for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold.
36:35 And he made a veil of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen; it was worked with an artistic design of cherubim.
36:36 He made for it four pillars of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold, with their hooks of gold; and he cast four sockets of silver for them.
36:37 He also made a screen for the tabernacle door, of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen, made by a weaver,
36:38 and its five pillars with their hooks. And he overlaid their capitals and their rings with gold, but their five sockets were bronze.

36:10 五枚の幕をつづり合わせ、他の五枚も同じようにした。
36:11 青い糸の輪を作り、一方のつづり合わせたものの端に当たる幕の縁と、もう一方のつづり合わせたものの最後の幕の縁とにそれを並べ、
36:12 一方の幕について五十の輪、他方のつづり合わせたものの幕にも五十の輪を作り、それぞれが合うように並べて付けた。
36:13 そこに、五十の金の留め金を作り、両方の幕をそれらで留め合わせた。こうして幕屋を一つに仕上げた。
36:14 次に、山羊の毛を使って十一枚の幕を作り、幕屋を覆う天幕とした。
36:15 一枚の幕は長さ三十アンマ、幅四アンマで、十一枚の幕をすべて同じ寸法にした。
36:16 そのうちの五枚をつづり合わせたものと、残りの六枚をつづり合わせたものを作った。
36:17 五十の輪を作り、つづり合わせたものの端に当たる幕の縁に付け、もう一方のつづり合わせたものの端に当たる幕の縁にも五十の輪を付けた。
36:18 そこに、五十の青銅の留め金を作り、天幕をつづり合わせて一つにした。
36:19 最後に、赤く染めた雄羊の皮で天幕の覆いを作り、更にその上をじゅごんの皮の覆いでおおった。
◆幕屋の壁板と横木
36:20 次に、幕屋の壁板をアカシヤ材で縦方向に使って作った。
36:21 一枚の壁板は縦十アンマ、横一・五アンマ、
36:22 それぞれの壁板に二つの柄を作って隣の壁板とつなぎ合わせた。幕屋の壁板全部に同じものを作った。
36:23 幕屋の壁板は南側に二十枚を並べ、
36:24 二十枚の壁板の下にはめるために銀の台座四十個を作った。すなわち、一枚の板の下に作る二つのほぞに合うように二個の台座を、それぞれの壁板の下に置いた。
36:25 幕屋の他の側面、すなわち北側にも二十枚の壁板を並べ、
36:26 四十個の銀の台座を作り、壁板一枚につき二個の割りでそれぞれの壁板の下に置いた。
36:27 幕屋の後ろ、すなわち西側には六枚の壁板を並べ、
36:28 更に二枚の板を作って、幕屋の両方の隅とした。
36:29 壁板は、下部では二つずつに分かれているが、上部は箍で一つに連ねられていた。両方の隅は同じように作った。
36:30 従って、西側の壁板は八枚となり、銀の台座は壁板一枚につき二個の割りで計十六個であった。
36:31 次に、アカシヤ材で横木を作った。幕屋の一方の側の壁板に五本、
36:32 もう一方の側の壁板に五本、また西側、つまり後ろ側の壁板に五本用いた。
36:33 壁板の中央の高さに位置する横木は、壁板の端から端まで渡した。
36:34 金箔で壁板を覆い金環に横木を通し、その横木も金箔で覆った。
◆至聖所の垂れ幕
36:35 次に、青、紫、緋色の毛糸、および亜麻のより糸を使って、意匠家の描いたケルビムの模様の垂れ幕を作り、
36:36 金箔で覆ったアカシヤ材の四本の柱の金の鉤に掛けた。柱のために四つの銀の台座を鋳造した。
◆天幕の入り口の幕
36:37 次に、天幕の入り口に掛ける幕を作り、青、紫、緋色の毛糸、および亜麻のより糸を使ってつづれ織を作った。
36:38 また、五本の柱と鉤を作った。柱の上部と桁とは金箔で覆い、五つの台座は青銅で作った。
1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil.
1:2 And seven sons and three daughters were born to him.
1:3 Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East.
1:4 And his sons would go and feast in their houses, each on his appointed day, and would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them.
1:5 So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, "It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts." Thus Job did regularly.
1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.
1:7 And the Lord said to Satan, "From where do you come?" So Satan answered the Lord and said, "From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it."
1:8 Then the Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?"
1:9 So Satan answered the Lord and said, "Does Job fear God for nothing?
1:10 "Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.
1:11 "But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!"
1:12 And the Lord said to Satan, "Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person." So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
1:13 Now there was a day when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother's house;
1:14 and a messenger came to Job and said, "The oxen were plowing and the donkeys feeding beside them,
1:15 "when the Sabeans raided them and took them away-indeed they have killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!"
1:16 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, "The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them; and I alone have escaped to tell you!"
1:17 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, "The Chaldeans formed three bands, raided the camels and took them away, yes, and killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!"
1:18 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, "Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother's house,
1:19 "and suddenly a great wind came from across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people, and they are dead; and I alone have escaped to tell you!"
1:20 Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped.
1:21 And he said:"Naked I came from my mother's womb,And naked shall I return there.The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;Blessed be the name of the Lord."
1:22 In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.
◆事の起こり
1:1 ウツの地にヨブという人がいた。無垢な正しい人で、神を畏れ、悪を避けて生きていた。
1:2 七人の息子と三人の娘を持ち、
1:3 羊七千匹、らくだ三千頭、牛五百くびき、雌ろば五百頭の財産があり、使用人も非常に多かった。彼は東の国一番の富豪であった。
1:4 息子たちはそれぞれ順番に、自分の家で宴会の用意をし、三人の姉妹も招いて食事をすることにしていた。
1:5 この宴会が一巡りするごとに、ヨブは息子たちを呼び寄せて聖別し、朝早くから彼らの数に相当するいけにえをささげた。「息子たちが罪を犯し、心の中で神を呪ったかもしれない」と思ったからである。ヨブはいつもこのようにした。
1:6 ある日、主の前に神の使いたちが集まり、サタンも来た。
1:7 主はサタンに言われた。「お前はどこから来た。」「地上を巡回しておりました。ほうぼうを歩きまわっていました」とサタンは答えた。
1:8 主はサタンに言われた。「お前はわたしの僕ヨブに気づいたか。地上に彼ほどの者はいまい。無垢な正しい人で、神を畏れ、悪を避けて生きている。」
1:9 サタンは答えた。「ヨブが、利益もないのに神を敬うでしょうか。
1:10 あなたは彼とその一族、全財産を守っておられるではありませんか。彼の手の業をすべて祝福なさいます。お陰で、彼の家畜はその地に溢れるほどです。
1:11 ひとつこの辺で、御手を伸ばして彼の財産に触れてごらんなさい。面と向かってあなたを呪うにちがいありません。」
1:12 主はサタンに言われた。「それでは、彼のものを一切、お前のいいようにしてみるがよい。ただし彼には、手を出すな。」サタンは主のもとから出て行った。
1:13 ヨブの息子、娘が、長兄の家で宴会を開いていた日のことである。
1:14 -15ヨブのもとに、一人の召使いが報告に来た。「御報告いたします。わたしどもが、牛に畑を耕させ、その傍らでろばに草を食べさせておりますと、シェバ人が襲いかかり、略奪していきました。牧童たちは切り殺され、わたしひとりだけ逃げのびて参りました。」
1:16 彼が話し終らないうちに、また一人が来て言った。「御報告いたします。天から神の火が降って、羊も羊飼いも焼け死んでしまいました。わたしひとりだけ逃げのびて参りました。」
1:17 彼が話し終らないうちに、また一人来て言った。「御報告いたします。カルデア人が三部隊に分かれてらくだの群れを襲い、奪っていきました。牧童たちは切り殺され、わたしひとりだけ逃げのびて参りました。」
1:18 彼が話し終らないうちに、更にもう一人来て言った。「御報告いたします。御長男のお宅で、御子息、御息女の皆様が宴会を開いておられました。
1:19 すると、荒れ野の方から大風が来て四方から吹きつけ、家は倒れ、若い方々は死んでしまわれました。わたしひとりだけ逃げのびて参りました。」
1:20 ヨブは立ち上がり、衣を裂き、髪をそり落とし、地にひれ伏して言った。
1:21 「わたしは裸で母の胎を出た。裸でそこに帰ろう。主は与え、主は奪う。主の御名はほめたたえられよ。」
1:22 このような時にも、ヨブは神を非難することなく、罪を犯さなかった。
22:1 Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
22:2 Then He said, "Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."
22:3 So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.
22:4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off.
22:5 And Abraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you."
22:6 So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went together.
22:7 But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, "My father!" And he said, "Here I am, my son." Then he said, "Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?"
22:8 And Abraham said, "My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering." So the two of them went together.
22:9 Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood.
22:10 And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.
22:11 But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, "Abraham, Abraham!" So he said, "Here I am."
22:12 And He said, "Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me."
22:13 Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.
22:14 And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, "In the Mount of The Lord it shall be provided."
22:15 Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven,
22:16 and said: "By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son-
22:17 "blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies.
22:18 "In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice."
22:19 So Abraham returned to his young men, and they rose and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.
◆アブラハム、イサクをささげる
22:1 これらのことの後で、神はアブラハムを試された。神が、「アブラハムよ」と呼びかけ、彼が、「はい」と答えると、

22:7 イサクは父アブラハムに、「わたしのお父さん」と呼びかけた。彼が、「ここにいる。わたしの子よ」と答えると、イサクは言った。「火と薪はここにありますが、焼き尽くす献げ物にする小羊はどこにいるのですか。」
22:8 アブラハムは答えた。「わたしの子よ、焼き尽くす献げ物の小羊はきっと神が備えてくださる。」二人は一緒に歩いて行った。
22:9 神が命じられた場所に着くと、アブラハムはそこに祭壇を築き、薪を並べ、息子イサクを縛って祭壇の薪の上に載せた。
22:10 そしてアブラハムは、手を伸ばして刃物を取り、息子を屠ろうとした。
22:11 そのとき、天から主の御使いが、「アブラハム、アブラハム」と呼びかけた。彼が、「はい」と答えると、
22:12 御使いは言った。「その子に手を下すな。何もしてはならない。あなたが神を畏れる者であることが、今、分かったからだ。あなたは、自分の独り子である息子すら、わたしにささげることを惜しまなかった。」

22:15 主の御使いは、再び天からアブラハムに呼びかけた。
22:16 御使いは言った。「わたしは自らにかけて誓う、と主は言われる。あなたがこの事を行い、自分の独り子である息子すら惜しまなかったので、
22:17 あなたを豊かに祝福し、あなたの子孫を天の星のように、海辺の砂のように増やそう。あなたの子孫は敵の城門を勝ち取る。
22:18 地上の諸国民はすべて、あなたの子孫によって祝福を得る。あなたがわたしの声に聞き従ったからである。」
22:19 アブラハムは若者のいるところへ戻り、共にベエル・シェバへ向かった。アブラハムはベエル・シェバに住んだ。

18:15 "Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.
18:16 "But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that 'by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.'
18:17 "And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.
18:18 "Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
18:19 "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.
18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."
◆兄弟の忠告
18:15 「兄弟があなたに対して罪を犯したなら、行って二人だけのところで忠告しなさい。言うことを聞き入れたら、兄弟を得たことになる。
18:16 聞き入れなければ、ほかに一人か二人、一緒に連れて行きなさい。すべてのことが、二人または三人の証人の口によって確定されるようになるためである。
18:17 それでも聞き入れなければ、教会に申し出なさい。教会の言うことも聞き入れないなら、その人を異邦人か徴税人と同様に見なしなさい。
18:18 はっきり言っておく。あなたがたが地上でつなぐことは、天上でもつながれ、あなたがたが地上で解くことは、天上でも解かれる。
18:19 また、はっきり言っておくが、どんな願い事であれ、あなたがたのうち二人が地上で心を一つにして求めるなら、わたしの天の父はそれをかなえてくださる。
18:20 二人または三人がわたしの名によって集まるところには、わたしもその中にいるのである。」
