11:1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse,And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
11:2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him,The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,The Spirit of counsel and might,The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
11:3 His delight is in the fear of the Lord,And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes,Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;
11:4 But with righteousness He shall judge the poor,And decide with equity for the meek of the earth;He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.
11:5 Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins,And faithfulness the belt of His waist.
11:6 "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,The leopard shall lie down with the young goat,The calf and the young lion and the fatling together;And a little child shall lead them.
11:7 The cow and the bear shall graze;Their young ones shall lie down together;And the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
11:8 The nursing child shall play by the cobra's hole,And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper's den.
11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain,For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LordAs the waters cover
the sea.
11:10 "And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse,Who shall stand
as a banner to the people;For the Gentiles shall seek Him,And His resting
place shall be glorious."

11:1 エッサイの株からひとつの芽が萌えいで／その根からひとつの若枝が育ち
11:2 その上に主の霊がとどまる。知恵と識別の霊／思慮と勇気の霊／主を知り、畏れ敬う霊。
11:3 彼は主を畏れ敬う霊に満たされる。目に見えるところによって裁きを行わず／耳にするところによって弁護することはない。
11:4 弱い人のために正当な裁きを行い／この地の貧しい人を公平に弁護する。その口の鞭をもって地を打ち／唇の勢いをもって逆らう者を死に至らせる。
11:5 正義をその腰の帯とし／真実をその身に帯びる。
11:6 狼は小羊と共に宿り／豹は子山羊と共に伏す。子牛は若獅子と共に育ち／小さい子供がそれらを導く。
11:7 牛も熊も共に草をはみ／その子らは共に伏し／獅子も牛もひとしく干し草を食らう。
11:8 乳飲み子は毒蛇の穴に戯れ／幼子は蝮の巣に手を入れる。
11:9 わたしの聖なる山においては／何ものも害を加えず、滅ぼすこともない。水が海を覆っているように／大地は主を知る知識で満たされる。
11:10 その日が来れば／エッサイの根は／すべての民の旗印として立てられ／国々はそれを求めて集う。そのとどまるところは栄光に輝く。
